This is the collar from the red dress at the bottom of my blog. I wanted to make it detachable and well I never thought of it with this dress but what do you think and I think I will go with the smaller trim.
I have the back all laced up now, the pearls and trim hand sewn on and the sleeves are attached but I am working on re enforcing them to make sure they stay secure. I think I have figured out the farthingale issue and hopefully will have it finished this week for the talent audition.
So Grace has always wanted a Pride and Prejudice dress so when she said she needed to find a red dress to wear for her sister's wedding I convinced why not kill two birds with one stone.. So here is the result.
So This morning I woke up and said I need to sew Lily something to wear to the Mountain Man Rendezvous this weekend. My whole family will be here and I wanted to frankly impress my Dad, who sews his buckskins by hand, with my mad sewing skills. So this Is what I whipped up before lunch. I think I might shorten a little still so she can run but all in all I am pleased with it.
I was born in Murray, Ut but raised solely in Battle mtn., NV. I lived on a ranch for 8 years and then my parents bought their own little piece of land to raise our own animals. I rode horses, camped, fished and and danced my way to the top so here I am.
